Symptoms and concerns after vsg

Hi there! This is my first post here so bear with me please...I just received my surgery date for a vsg and besides being excited and scared I have a major concern... After the surgery how do I recognize if something is a concern...what are the symptoms? When do you call the dr, when do you go straight to the ER? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, hopefully they will provide more information. So far the information they provide at every step has been excellent. I just seem to be worried about symptoms for blood clots and leaks. Not worried so much as wanting to be informed, so that I can also share this with my family. They tend to like to ignore a lot of symptoms... I'm just worried they will try to get me to downplay a serious symptom. But otherwise, I'm very excited to be just weeks away from surgery!
