8 days post op...feeling blue
Am I the only one that has every felt that I made a mistake by having RYN... 8 days post op and I have dierrha, I have been told to use benifiber which I do...I just feel lonely and sad. I have no other issues as far as my surgery... I walk 1 to 2 miles a day some stomach discomfort but nothing to really complain about. What is wrong with me??.

There isn't anything wrong with you! You're just eight days post-op, still healing and adjusting (physically and mentally) to having WLS.
Lots of WLS'ers experience "buyer's remorse" after having surgery. Give it some time and you'll heal plus start to experience the benefits of having your RNY.
Hang in there.....major kudos to you for walking like you are!

I agree with Cathy and can relate as I am only 7 months out. Like you, I was only on liquids for the first week, so guess what? What went in is what came out! Nothing is wrong with you, you are recovering from surgery. Hang in there. Give yourself a chance to heal and you should start to feel better over the next several weeks.
Some do feel a little buyers remorse as they adjust to their new bodies. Some also sink into a real depression. If you feel yourself teetering into the latter - do let your doctor know. Post-op depression isn't that uncommon and the good news is that it's totally treatable.

Hello...I am also 8 days post op (VSG on 9-4) & have moments of feeling the exact same way. Mostly very alone! I was glad to see that I am not the only one feeling this way & that it is normal for us to feel this way. I wasn't sure if it was just me because I just lost my mom on 8-22 and she was my rock & the one who was supposed to be here with me through my recovery. But can't wait for the part-time regret to go away because on my heart I know I made the right decision.
Hi,
I am 14 days post op and I have my moments of feeling down & blue but then I remind myself of all the positive reasons I took this new change in my life.
Hang in there! I hear it gets better! Walking is great, it helps with mood too!
