Insurance pays for vitamins

I have Anthem BCBS and my B12 shots are covered.  Nothing else supplement wise.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I'm talking to my insurance tomorrow. Good to have a sense of how this works.

part B will cover them if you surgeon shows medical necessity. it has to be appealed, usually. They deny the first couple times. Bariatic advantage and opurity

Also appealed and got private insurance to reimburse those same ones based on medical necessity, but I had to appeal and appeal and appeal again.

welcome. ALso, if I meet my annual out of pocket max, and have a "valid Prescription" private insurance will reimburse.....sometimes

I go to doctor next week when i get prescription I'll see which ones they cover and how much my Co pay is and let you no.

make sure the precription is for exactly the kind we can absorb...if they write it for "vitamin D" the pharmacy will typically fill a oil based prescription. Which we don't absorb as well. It has to say "dry vitamin D"  etc
