I had VSG and in my opinion the c section was worse. I spent 2 nights in the hospital and only needed help the next day then I was fine.

Hope this helps

C-section was definitely harder. Surgeon did a block, and never took a pain pill after the second day.

Reading these comments is a relief for me.

I had my baby girl last December via C-section. I was curious as to the comparison and this is very reassuring!

I agree c-section was harder. The hard part though might be not lifting for a couple weeks depending what your surgeon says.

I had an RNY.  It was definitely easier than my c-section recovery -- but I didn't have a beautiful baby to bring home either!

Deoends on the surgery. My C Section was much worse than my band and hurt for longer.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

This was a cakewalk compared to my 2 csections for sure. 😄

I had the sleeve done, and this was a walk in the park compared to the 2 C-Sections that I had.. I never really had any pain from the wls.. Only just the gas pains from the anesthesia...

You could use some assistance with household chores for a week or so (older children are good for this).  My 11 yr old surprised the heck out of me after my DS.  He really stepped up to help.

For me personally, all I really needed help with was getting in and out of bed for a couple of days.  I could have done it myself, but help was really appreciated.  Many just use a recliner to sleep in for a while until they feel up to using the bed again, too.
