Reading these comments is a relief for me.
I had my baby girl last December via C-section. I was curious as to the comparison and this is very reassuring!
I agree c-section was harder. The hard part though might be not lifting for a couple weeks depending what your surgeon says.

I had an RNY. It was definitely easier than my c-section recovery -- but I didn't have a beautiful baby to bring home either!

You could use some assistance with household chores for a week or so (older children are good for this). My 11 yr old surprised the heck out of me after my DS. He really stepped up to help.
For me personally, all I really needed help with was getting in and out of bed for a couple of days. I could have done it myself, but help was really appreciated. Many just use a recliner to sleep in for a while until they feel up to using the bed again, too.
