NSV--Pacific Crest Trail With Picture

HI! Last Monday, The Dude and I went into the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness in Oregon and hiked about 12 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail. A lifelong dream of mine come true. As I summited to a ridge-line, I burst into tears because ... well, really? me? hiking a damn tough hike?

The Dude kinda didn't know quite what to do other than name the area "Emotional Summit" ---  perfect!

NICE!!!

every year since my WLS, I have taken some type of 'physical'vacation,doing something I could no do at 280+ pounds.

Year 1 -- we took a 6 day walking tour of Montreal, walking more than 10 miles a day

Year 2 -- we hiked down the The Grand Canyonto Phantom Ranch, spentthenightand hiked out

Year 3 -- we hiked inGermany, Austria and Switzerland ....... I hiked in the Alps!!!!

year 4 -- we walked/hiked 150 miles of the Camino de Santiago I northern Spain

This year .... Heading to San Diego for some hiking, biking and stand up paddle boarding.

What a thrill to test ourselves and meet physical challenges that were not possible before ...... Congratulations!!!!!

WOW!!!! You are now my role model!!! what a lovely life, eh? Congratulations on your hard work paying off.

I push myself in gratitude of the chance that WLS has given me at a normal life.

It helps me keep my commitment and focus, too ....planning activities that require me to be strong ..... Not always easy, but definitely rewarding!!!!!
