post op
Let me tell you a secret that will make you much happier:You can throw your scale away.
Seriously, there are going to be ups and downs, stalls, slow-downs, etc., but they're going to happen whether you get on the scale every day or not. The only difference is that if you don't get on the scale, you won't know, and you won't stress over it.
I weighed---and still do!---only at my doctor's office. This meant that I never suffered a stall, never worried about the fact that I didn't lose anything in four days, etc. I ALWAYS saw a lower number.
Follow the rules, don't stress, take care of yourself. You will lose weight!
I plateaued after one week post surgery. I went up and down the same 3 pounds for 3 1/2 weeks. Doctor and Dietician kept saying "I'm not worried". It was hard on me though, I was like "but I am the one who just had my insides rearranged". LOL... the plateau finally broke. Yeah! Keep doing what you are supposed to do. Good Luck!
