my surgery was 4 days ago, and, well, I am just HUNGRY....WHY?

Oh my word! I feel your pain! I remember being so excited thinking "I can get through this surgery.  Besides, at least I won't have to deal with being hungry". On the contrary, that was not the case with my experience. I was starving and couldn't get anything down! Not even water. I recall sitting in my bed and crying and suffering. I would call my mom crying telling her how hungry I was. I honestly regretted my decision for a while. I know a lot of people describe it as head hunger, but mine was SO physical! I had the hunger pangs and growling and I was so weak. In a nutshell, I was not one of the happy wls patients. I was miserable. And I have to be honest with you, for me, that feeling of hunger did not go away til several months down the road when I was able to get more food in. I am considering a revision from my band to the sleeve, and thinking that this could possibly happen again FREAKS me out!!!  I hope things get better for you really soon!

Best,

It's called head hunger.  Not physical hunger.  You will get past this. Find something else to think about.
