Unusual Pain
Good Afternoon Everyone,
I am hoping that someone can tell me that this pain that I am having is normal. I had my vsg on August 12th. Everything went great. I felt great and came home the next day. No issues with walking or anything. Not in much pain either. Just this past week, I am having issues with sharp stabbing pain in my abdomen. My incisions look great, healing really well. I am just not sure where this pain is coming from. Could this be from over exerting myself?
I recommend calling your surgeon and asking.
I had a pain that sounds similar by one of my incisions and my surgeon told me that he stitched through the muscle there. So that it was nothing to worry about. But, again, ask your surgeon.

I had the same issue with one of my incisions on the right side. It was stitched deeply into muscle and was really problematic; anytime I overdid it in the first four or five weeks, that incision screamed at me and I had bad abdominal pain that accompanied it.
Can't hurt to check with your surgeon but know that it just may mean that you need to take it easy.
