Has anyone went from lap band to bypass ?

I had lapband surgery 5 years ago. Done fantastic in the beginning but then had a knee replacement and went through death of a parent. I am starting to gain weight back and I am so depressed. Would really like to have bypass. Any advice ?

Lots of people have revised from Band to other types of LS.

I think there is a failed band group here that you can check out.

Talk to your surgeon ...... If the band has not damaged your stomach or esophagus, you should be able to revise to RNY or VSG or DS.

You might also want to check with your insurance ..... Some only cover ONE WLS per lifetime.

But in your post on the lb board, you say you are being sick every day. You need to get this sorted now; not wait for a possible revision. Being too tight can lead to permanent damage that even band renoval will not cure.
