Looking For Friends

Hi everyone,

I had my surgery back in December 2013, and I've almost hit my one year mark. It really feels amazing!! This is my first time on this forum, and I'm looking for friends whom I can relate to regarding this surgery. We all know that people just don't start talking about having this surgery when you see them out in public. It really helps to have this online support group to come to and talk with others about our experiences. Please contact me so we can have a chat about our weight loss success. I am curious that you did not mention what WLS you had, or I missed it in your blog.  There are tons of people here to befriend and hopefully, they can help you to accept yourself.  I have a wonderful lifelong friend who is always telling me how lonely she is and has no friends.  We grew up together and shared apts. in our younger days and had a 30 year lapse before reuniting again.  But, she cannot keep or find friends because she cannot find her own self value. 

You had a wonderful quote at the end of your blog.  Practice it and the friends you find here can be invaluable!  And there is a wealth of experience here for you to glean as you go.  So, welcome!
