B*tch and Moan, B*tch and moan! B*tchfest, b*tches.
HERE ARE THE RULES: "B*TCHFest" is provided as a public service to those of us who have gripes and grievances but whom, for whatever reason, lack a regular forum in which to air them. You are welcome to voice any problems - large or small, important, mundane or ridiculous - that currently have your panties wadded, your shorts frosted and your gears ground. Don't hold them in and risk future medical issues, wrinkles and/or those pesky gray hairs.
ANY and ALL issues that are plaguing you are open for you to voice; there are no "sacred cows." They say that "feelings aren't facts", so if you're feeling it, it's legit to you. NO ONE is allowed to flame a poster for something he or she writes, however commiseration is not only welcomed but encouraged. Please, no personal attacks against other OH members (at least, not by name) andABSOLUTELY NO SURGERY WARS!
I'll start you off with one of mine, and you all can join in at any time! No limits - come back as many times as you like!

Ready? Let's begin.
- What is it about summer colds that make them sooo much worse than winter colds? I've had this damned thing for a week and a half. It just won't go away. Tired, cranky, tired of coughing, my nose is raw from blowing and wiping it . . .enough already.
-Is it just me, or does it seem like every freaking thing in the world has gotten absurdly expensive?
-Hitting 50 (a few years ago) and having a number of pounds sneak back onto me that just will not leave. Doesn't matter if I eat fewer calories, lower fat, fewer carbs, exercise more, I just can't get them to go away. Ugh. Yet another downside of getting old.
- Knowing that, sooner rather than later, I'm going to have to have my knees replaced.
- Getting calls from the same number over and over - then they never leave a message. Or, worse, getting a call from "unknown." If you can't be bothered letting me know your number, I'm not going to bothered answering.
- Passwords. They've gotten so complicated that I don't even bothering remembering half of them anymore. Sometimes, it's just easier to do "forgot my password" and change it.
- Car repairs. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to even HAVE a car, and one that is still running at 220K miles. I understand that things wear out and break down. But I really need things to break with a little more time in between. I've had three repairs (battery, new tire and new alternator) in 6 weeks. The alternator repair ($600) would have left me totally ****** if my new job hadn't been amazingly sweet to loan me the money for the repair.
Well, that's it for now. I'm a little fuzzy-headed with cold medicine, so I will leave this to you all, Have fun!
As the mother of a young man (11) with severe autism, I have learned what are his triggers and what are not. So why o why, when the only thing I asked the bus staff to do (not get him to school too early) did they do just that this morning?
Two hours, yes, two hours after he left home, I get a call to say he has head butted and broken a bus window. Thankfully he is (apparently) unhurt, although he is non verbal so who the heck knows?
Apparently, now they agree with me, that trying to get him to stay on the bus for 10 minutes outside of school is NOT going to work and will be picking him up 10 minutes later every morning so we don't get a repeat of this morning's "fun"

Okay here goes.....
I'm tired of the perceptions of WLS. (Easy Way Out, Deadly, Cosmetic, Elective). If I were concerned how I look, I would have done this years ago and not be pursuing it now! This is a life-saving procedure I feel is necessary for folks like me.
I looked into WLS surgery a few years ago and did not do it because my insurance will not cover it. Obamacare was a small glimmer of hope, YEAH RIGHT, still not covered. Fortunately, I'm not letting the self pay route stop me this time.
Speaking of Obama, what a lying tailhole, and Republicans....pssshhhhh find me one that's not a fricken RINO and liberal in conservative clothing.
I hate my job, but glad I have one...
Okay I think that's it for now, if I think of more I'll be back.

What's wrong with easy? (*grin*)
Seriously, this is a criticism I've never understood. We all usually choose to do things the easy way---put our clothes in the washer instead of taking them to the river, drive a car instead of walk, as so on. But weight loss? Oh, no, THAT we must do the hard way!
Frankly, I chose to have WLS because I fully expected it to be easier---and more effective!---than the traditional 'diet and exercise'. And it has been, and I'm thankful for that.
I hate doctors offices that consistently overbook their patients. I never seem to see this guy at my appointment time. I understand things come up but after awhile it's like come on already! I literally waited over an hour and a half & decided to walk out, even then the receptionist is trying to convince me to stay. I waited so long already there are only 2 people ahead of me., etc, etc. Really you want me to wait even longer!, just give me back my check. My time is important too.

Oh, so seriously! Last time I waited an hour and a half for a doc was the dunderhead who put my band in. Aftercare - ****ty! After spending 12, yes 12, full hours vomiting, he was doing hospital rounds during my scheduled appointment to find out what the hell happened to me! I walked out right in front of him.
Absolutely! So many doctors now have snide little signs up that say if you're more than 15 minutes later for your appointment, you'll have to reschedule AND pay for the office visit you 'missed'. Well, fair's fair---I think that if I have to wait more than 15 minutes past my appointment time, then I should get the office visit FREE.
