I'm out of here.
Your motivational posts were fine - not for me, I just didn't bother reading them. But some people may have got a lot from them
All people ask is that you don't pass off opinion as science (and actually you haven't done that recently as far as I am aware but, as I say, I only open posts with titles which imply you are citing science). And secondly that you make clear that the qualifications you used to have in your signature line only refer to motivational counselling and not to any expertise in bariatric surgery. In view of your recent posts in which you clearly state that you have no knowledge at all of the surgery which is becoming the most performed wls, your current signature may be more accurate.
i am sure some people benefitted from your posts. I suggest simply clarifying your qualifications and leaening a little more about surgeries other than the one you had yourself.

Well-put (as always), Kate! I think there's a huge difference between general motivation and anything WLS-specific. Inspirational quotes about never giving up on your dreams are helpful for some people, but I would imagine a bariatric counselor should tell one not to give up on 60g of protein, to reach for the stars of 5+ days of cardio a week, and that good things come to those who wait through the often-required 2-/3-/6-month medically-supervised diets required by some insurance plans.

Was it something I said?
It's unfortunate that you chose the "goodbye cruel world" route rather than spend some time reading posts on OH and educating yourself about anything related to bariatrics. As I said, the world needs cheerleaders, but I appreciate it so much more when they know what they're talking about.
