3 day post op and not full
I'm not sure what type of surgery you had. But in the beginning your sense of "full" shouldn't be trusted. That's why most patients are given strict rules to follow as to how much and how often to eat. Nerves in your stomach have either been cut or traumatized and will take some time to regenerate. Follow your surgeon's instructions to the letter.
Don't trust your stomach to tell you if you're full! You can cause damage that way. Also, if you're on full liquids you're not going to feel "full" because they slide right through your stomach, which is the point. Your stomach needs time to heal. I promise you once you start on purees and solids you'll start getting more sensations of what full is for you.
Welcome to the loser's bench!
Totally normal. I had VSG and didn't start to get a sense of fullness until a) my stomach was healed around 6 weeks post-op and b) I was eating solid foods.
