Hi, my bmi is 51 i have GERD, arthritis, knee, hip and ankle pain. Has anyone been approved and had surgery with  Hypertension or diabetes, sleep apnea

I'm not from Texas but the best way to find out it to call the insurance directly.  There is usually a customer call number on your card.

Each insurance company has different requirements so the best way to find out what the criteria you need to have for surgery is to call them. However, a majority of companies will approve a bmi of 40+ without the co-morbidities such as hypertension, sleep apnea, diabetes, etc.
