Can we have apple or orange juice on clear liquid diet.  I was told nothing red?

I would steer clear of juices as they're pure sugar and now would be a really bad time to find out you don't do well with a lot of sugar. Check with the surgeon on Monday if you're really missing juice, but I'd just avoid it.

I have seen apple juice as "ok" but never orange juice.  It isn't clear (you cannot see through it easily).  However, my surgeon discourage high-sugar apple juice, too --- so you may want to check with your particular program.

Cleveland Clinic's Clear Liquid guidelines:

The following foods are allowed in a clear liquid diet: Water (plain, carbonated or flavored); Fruit juices without pulp (NOT FOR BARIATRIC PATIENTS), such as apple or white grape; Fruit-flavored beverages (NOT RED), such a*****h or lemonade; Gelatin; Tea or coffee without milk or cream;  Sports drinks; Clear, fat-free broth (bouillon or consommé)

I watered down apple and white grape juices

I also drank watered down sugar free lemonade flavored crystal light

Like Kathkeb, I had watered down juices. Also like her, I am banded. It helps if you tell people which surgery you gad as plans differ.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
