Left side pain increased 1 month post-op rny

I had left side pain initially after surgery but I was on pain meds and that helped. After a couple of weeks no more pain meds and no side pain. I was able to move, twist, lift (light) and bend with no problems but as of 2 days ago I'm having pain again and worse than before. I don't know if it's because maybe I did too much stretching or if it's because the nerves in the area are waking up but it's bad enough that I'm taking pain meds again. Is this common? Anyone else have this happen to them?

You might call your doctor if its really bothering you. He/She might be able to help you or want to see you if it's still hurting. You did not say what type of surgery you had. If its lapband I had some pain at the port site for quite a while. I am 5 years out and still get some soreness every once in a while depending on what I am doing.
