Constipation

My 21 years old and exercise fairly regularly. This past month I have been having trouble going to the bathroom. Last night I had to go really bad but have myself a fissure so I had to stop. The pain is unbearable and im in tears writing this post. My doctor recommended a fleet edema which did not seem to work and also to take mirilax. I drank mirilax last night and did the edema along with drinking 3 glasses of prune juice. I am having sharp pain bowl movements but when I go to the bathroom it's just black liquid and a small amount. I am desperate to find some help and have this issue resolved because it's the worst feeling in the workd.

To me, black stool would be very concerning since everything I've ever read says that's a sign of blood.  So I, personally, would be taking myself to ER immediately.

That might be an overreaction, I'm not sure, but that is exactly what I would do.

Good luck.

I take 2 teaspoons of Benefiber every morning and every evening to keep me fairly regular because I still don't get in the fruits and veggies that a normal eater would.   This won't help you in the immediate future but it's a good idea for later...and it's better for you than Miralax.  My doctor says that Miralax is too much like a laxative and your system can become dependent on it.  But do whatever you have to do in the short term!

Thanks for the advice I want to carry on a healthy diet routine so I never have to deal with this again. I'm at the hospital now waiting to be seen.
