Know I shouldn't but it's hard! And it's super frustrating to know there see ppl out here that weight more than me and are shorter....and the wear a smaller size. Ok end rant! Thanks for listening :-)

OMG - this was one of the hardest things for me too!!!  I hated reading about people who weighed a LOT more than me and were getting into MUCH smaller sizes.  Of course my first thought was "not fair".

But what you have to remember is everyone has a different body shape/type and we lose from different areas in different ways.  I have broad-shoulders and narrower hips with no waist at all.  I'm never going to fit into a Small top or dress...ever.  And due to the lack of waist and excess tummy skin I have to wear at least a size bigger in pants than I would otherwise.  So for the most part I wear a size 8 in pants.    You also have to remember that vanity sizing is alive and well!  I can fit myself into a size 4 from some stores (Old Navy) and can barely button a size 10 from other stores

One thing I have noticed:  I've been in maintenance for 7 months and have been working out much harder the last 3 months.  Although I've stayed the same weight I've actually gone down a size in pants   So it really is true that your body will continue to change even after you hit maintenance.

I remind myself that it's not a race, and I'll reach my goal eventually.  Even if it takes 2+ years, I'll get there.

It's taken me 7 yrs of stop and go to make it to goal. At 150 and 5'7" I'm a solid 12. I know it's because of my extra skin but its soooooo frustrating! I have been walking/running but just added weights. I'm hoping that helps a little.

You are RIGHT. I like to say, "This isn't a sprint, it's a marathon."
