I had gastric bypass and lately I'm having a hard time keeping anything down.  And I've been throwing up mucas,  not foam but thick mucas.  Any advice?

It's probably a good idea to call your doctor and let him know.  Ask the experts, I always recommend.

What people call the foamies is not foamy at all, but very thick, clear, mucous. The couple of times I had it early on it was because I didn't chew well enough. This may be what you are experiencing, but you should certainly talk to your doctor.

I am 4-1/2 weeks post-op and I still have that issue. Because your stomach has to learn to digest differently, it takes a while to know what you can and cannot tolerate. I keep barf bags in my purse because when you're out you never know what will set you off and you don't want to be unprepared when the "slime-fest" starts. Even water sets me off sometimes, so I try to take small sips and I'm sticking with super soft foods until I get past this phase. Of course contact your doctor first and foremost.

I saw the doctor today and they are scheduling me an upper endoscopy to look for a possible stricture.
