In nursing we have a phrase, 'eating our young'. It is not a productive behavior. While the poster displayed some brash and likely misplaced confidence or even arrogance, perhaps she could have been more gently encouraged/exhorted. I think she was just exhibiting her excitement at her progress in this new and scary journey. I am sad that she is now deactivated. And yes, I too am a very new member. I have been lurking for a while and today decided to register because I have found, by and large, that this forum is very helpful, informative, and encouraging. I hope she is able to find encouragement and mentorship elsewhere.
I hope she is too, but I didn't see any negative or ungentle posts to her?

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
