Finding friends

Thank you for asking.. I am doing much better now.. The only problem I had was trying to get all the protein and liquid in ... My stomach was very sore to the point of needing someone to bath me and when I had to go to the restroom I needed help there..At this point I praise God for my husband... 

9 days out I am so much better.. still a little weak, but doing better

when is your surgery scheduled?

Sounds as if you and I are both on our 9th day out. Its been brutal, but I think this is the first day I feel more like a person. Liquids haven't been much trouble because I've always been a big drinker. I just have to keep on reminding myself not to gulp cause I have a few times and that doesn't feel good.

My husband, though not a natural nurturer, has been amazing through this and that makes all the difference doesn't it?

What brands of protein drink are you consuming? My favorite has been the carnation (very specific about what kind)..Ensure comes in second and right this very moment I'm trying a sample packet of Chike strawberry. Its pretty good and it comes in a bunch of flavors. I ordered a sample box of a one of each flavor. looks like there are 5 in all plus a protein coffee packet as well.

The pre op liquid diet will help you to take off some extra pounds and it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it might be. I did go to the doc for my 1st post op visit and during the car ride I was looking at all the billboards that advertised restaurants and food....and suddenly the fact that my head games will still be an issue came forth loud and clear. The difference is that now I now longer have a choice. That's scary, but also comforting...in a strange way.

If someone accepts your friend request, you won't receive notification that they have. You will, however, see them listed in your friends list on your profile if you want to see who's there. You can also go to MY OH and click on Friends to see who's on your list.

You have to constantly check on your account page to see if people have accepted your friend request. If they do, you won't get a notification.

Some people may not simply see your friend request unless they check their private messages. And it's on the upper right corner, sometimes hard to see.

also, when they accept a friend request that means they get notified every time you post something, and that adds more emails to their notifications unless they turn it off. So please know when people don't accept the request there may be number of reasons, not that they don't want your friendship.
