Sometimes, all you have to do is ask.

I'm so happy! My original consultation was scheduled for 8/23/14, which at the time was almost two months out. My surgeon is switching to a new group and his old office is kind of chaotic, which meant I had to fill out the paperwork a couple times and call a few times to get updates, etc. 

So yesterday I called the new office and left a message asking to go on the cancellation list. They just called and put me in for next Weds 7/23, more than a month earlier, hooray! They would put me in for tomorrow but don't have my paperwork from the old office yet. Sometimes, ask and you will get what you really want

Thanks. It's starting to get real. I have lots of questions for them next week.

Make a list of questions and take with you to the appointment.  I thought I'd remember and I was so excited to be at my appointment that I forgot most of them!
