Anyone have blood in urine 3 weeks post-op?

I'm still having some pain on my left side by my incision (RNY). It's not awful but enough to hold the area for support. When I went to the bathroom I noticed the tissue was tinged with an orange-reddish color and then the same color in the bowl. I'm not sure if it's blood or maybe even some color from the vitamin C gummies that I'm taking. The only reason I'm at all concerned is because I'm still experiencing some pain at 3 weeks out.

If it is really orange (like the color of the fruit) as opposed to reddish, I would just stop the Vit C gummies for a day and see if it disappears (since excess Vit C is excreted in the urine).  If it is a reddish tinge, though, I would call your surgeon or PCP and have them check to see if it is blood.

There isn't anything about the RNY surgery that would normally cause blood in the urine, and pain at 3 weeks out on the left side (where the  majority of the internal work is done) is quite normal, but you definitely need to be sure that it is NOT blood.

I think too it could possibly be a urinary tract infection if you were catheterized during surgery, which is quite common.
