Information please people!

It's not a matter of "posting correctly." The OP wasn't upset, nor were any of the other posters trying to explain to you the context. Accept it or not, they are trying to help you and other newbies with questions, problems and concerns based on the best information you can provide. It wasn't an attack to call you a "newbie." It's commonly accepted terminology on this and any forum.
Unfortunately, you cannot control or dictate how other people "say things." You can only control yourself.
If you feel uncomfortable, maybe you should look inward and ask yourself why. There was nothing personal or vindictive about the OP.
Good luck with your journey, but you may want to lighten up a bit and put on your big girl panties. No one is out to get you, but there are many people here who want to help you.

Ok thanks for that advice , completely understand people want to help ( did so even before I posted my initial post ) that was never my issue . I will just put on my big girl panties and suck it up next time I have an opininion on how something comes across to me. You are right I should lighten up , and just go with the flow of the forum . Anything for a quiet life eh ? Lesson definitely learned .
Thanks again for your advice .

You are most welcome. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions or concerns.
I'm not sure what you mean about a "quiet life," but I certainly hope you achieve your goals, whatever they are, with WLS. Have you been in therapy yet?

Thank you ,
' Anything for a quiet life is just a saying in Glasgow ( where im from initially ) usually used by husbands .....to say that youd rather just move on and not disagree than continue going on about this .
And yes , all appointments completed , no proffesional therapy needed . Fancy that eh ? An emotional gal like me ! Lol ....Waiting on final surgeon appointment and date . Thanks for asking .

"put on your big girl panties"? Really!!?? I don't know what can be more condescending. Probably your next post.

"Put on your big girl panties" isn't condescending, at least not here at OH. It's simply a way of saying "You're a grown-up, so deal with it". It does not relate to anyone's size, if that's what you were thinking.
Jax, I do pretty much understand where you're coming from. I do. I don't think I've ever felt that way, in my almost I guess 9 years here, but I do mainly stick to our main board, ON CA. If you take a look at who posts there, as an example, who continues to offer help after 3 years? 5 Years? 8 or more years? Well, I can pretty much count on one hand how many. Statistically, people are gung-ho in the beginning, gain support, stick around for a while and then drift on, for whatever reason. I've known thousands of people, just on our board, who no longer post.
I will say that it's a little safer on a smaller group with people who may feel a little more connected and caring due to even just living in the same general area of the world. We share commonalities in lots of ways that others don't. That isn't to say that people from all over the world can't relate and don't have good information and support to share - they most certainly do.
Hopefully you'll continue to enjoy the guidance and support of those who care - believe it or not, it's most of us.
