I am 11 days Post-Op VSG. The surgeon made one of the incisions inside my belly button. Well, all has been well until we had 3 straight days of really humid, hot weather. I struggled to keep my belly button dry because of sweat. Now I have a red rash inside my belly button. Should I put diaper cream on it? I know baby powder breeds bacteria. Any advice?

  All things in good time!

When I had my GB out this happened to me.  I just washed it with soap and water and put on neosporin ointment with a q-tip.  It healed up nicely!

Diaper rash ointment works well although something that kills yeast would be good if it seems persistent and (obviously, lol) you think it might be a yeasty rash. Get used to the rash, tho. Depending on how much weight you have to lose, you're probably going to be fighting skin rashes for a while.

Hope your weight loss is going well and that you have no other problems!
