Belly "flap"
Thank you so much for all the good info and advice! It's such a blessing to have a forum to discuss those things that feel "unspeakable" in other venues! After reading these posts, I googled the surgery and the images were very helpful! I see that some people get insurance to pay the difference between the panni and a tummy tuck so I suppose it is just how much you are willing to document and do the work to get what you need. I've been using my roll on Mitchum deodorant to avoid the oh so tender and annoying rashes and to keep me more dry....I just thought if I ever told anyone I did that, I would be considered wierd! So glad to hear I am not the only one!
AGAIN, thanks so much!!!!

I am pre-op and I think this is what scares me most about the surgery. The leftover skin. I am terrified that my insurance won't cover the removal.
I'm pre op too and have started documenting issues that the skin is causing, such as rash, back pain, etc...with doctors like the dermatologist and my orthopedic so that when I am maintaining my weight and am able to have surgery, I have the documentation for insurance. Most cover the panni surgery but not tummy tucks. I looked at Google images regarding the panni surgery and I think they look great! Sure, the abs aren't a six pack but at my age it's a good enough maybe?
