Lentils to Wendy's Chili...

So my wife and I tried some Trader Joe's lentils tonight.  We put some in with vegetables and ground beef...Some seasoning.  It was OK...Not great, not bad.  They are sort of a neutral taste that needs something added to it...Almost like plain wheat or barley.  A filler but needing flavoring.  Anyways, I put some of the lentils in my Wendy's Chili (I add some cheese to it also).  Very very good!!  Many times the Wendy's Chili will be watered down.  Adding the lentils was a stabilizer with major protein added.  Brian

I love lentils!  I make mine in curry powder, ham and onions in the crockpot.  Not sure how I will tolerate curry after surgery though.

I've had curry numerous times post-op with no problems.  Although I do have to remember that eating spicier food isn't a good idea, since I can't drink during a meal!  Same with some saltier stuff that I've eaten. :P

Oh that's right! So now I will have to remember that.  LOL!  Although my curry powder is mild but I love my hot sauce so I will have to remember not to use to much of it at a time.
