I remember when....
A few months maybe after surgery, I went out to a diner with my daughter. I ordered whatever, and ate about 5 bites before asking for a box. The waitress asked if the food was okay, or did I want something else. My daughter, who was 14 at the time, blurted out, "Oh, she's fine. My mom had gastric bypass and now she eats less than me!"

LOL! I had an experience like that at Black Eyed Pea a couple of weeks ago. I'm pre-op, but I am still practicing eating slowly. I got a salad without dressing which confused the waiter to begin with. Then I took over 20 minutes to eat about 1/2 of it. He kept coming by asking if everything was ok. Pretty sure I had him a little freaked out. Glad I'm not the only one!
Once you get skinny - waiters would expect you to eat like a bird -a small bird.. trust me..

last week we went to dinner... I ordered scallops , no sauce, and saute spinach. Waiter asked 3 times if that was it. Yes - it was. When my plate arrived -I have app1/2 cup of sauteed spinach with 3 large scallops on top of it. I almost was able to eat it all.. I gave my BF 1/4 scallop to try.. and he got app 1 TBS of spinach (the food was fantastic) . I was "stuffed" for at least an hour..
but looking at the plate in front of me - I was not sure the meal would be "enough" . I still have great restriction. 6 years out.
