Hello! Wednesday I will be 3 weeks out and I've already lost a good bit of weight but last Friday I switched from liquids to pureed foods and since then I am at a stand still. Nothing lost.

How many calories a day are u eating? I have to get in 55-65 proteins a day and in order to do that it requires calories. 8-(

Any idea how many calories you are eating...especially recently out of surgery?

I don't know what kind of surgery you had but I had VSG a year ago and my husband just had it 2 months ago.  In the first month, both of us were probably hovering between 500-600 calories a day.  At two months out, since he can do all solids now, it's more like 700-800 per day.

Stalling at three weeks is super common.

I aim for 60-80 grams of protein a day.

I am 4 months out, and although my surgeon does not require me to count calories, I track my food on Fitbit.com.  I eat 700-900 calories per day and 80-100 grams of protein/day per my Fitbit app.

It is normal to stall at 3-4 weeks post-op.  Don't worry about the numbers.  Your body is adjusting to having surgery and your weight loss.  Keep on track with the food progression that your surgeon recommends.  If you follow the protocol of your surgeon, YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT, I promise.

I'm 13 years RNY post-op.  I eat between 60 to 80 grams of protein.
