Seven years out -- experiencing burning sensation and chills in stomach
Hi Guys: I'm seven years out -- have lost 180 plus pounds and have not had any complications. Had the open gastric bypass in 2007 and have mantained my weight loss. For the last few weeks I have been experiencing burning sensation in my stomach accompanied by chills? Anyone have any other experience with this and ways to handle it? Please share your experience and advice????? Thanks. Nancy T-H
I'd say if its continued for weeks it's time to visit your Dr. Those symptoms I'm sure could be a ton of different things if you WebMD'd them... best bet find out for sure. Comfort could be a simple prescription away. If you need your post-op labs done I'd get those too :) Some vitamin deficiencies can have those symptoms. I hope it is easily resolved. Be sure to post an update.

I ended up at 2 years post op having a ulcer. My bowls changed colors and that is when I knew. That caused my stomach to hurt when I ate. It was a matter of taking ulcer meds for it to heal. I agree with the other poster. Don't wait. Go find out what it is instead of wondering what it could be. It might be a very minor thing and you might worry it is something horrible. Better to be safe then sorry.
Let us know what you find out.
