Medi-Cal

Does anyone know if Medi-Cal will cover bariatric surgery, and if so do you have to have an existing medical condition such as high blood pressure, arthritis, sleep apnea, or arthritis??? 

To check for Medi-Cal coverage, call the number on the back of your card and ask if bariatric surgery is covered.  Ask them if a co-morbid condition is a requirement for coverage.  Ask them for a list of bariatric surgeons in your area that accept Medi-Cal.
