throwing up after surgery

What Teacherford said.  I did the dry heaving and even vomited blood after surgery.  All was fine in a day or two.  In fact, my surgeon didn't even think I needed a swallow study but one of the other doctors ordered it and I had it done the day after surgery.  No problems at all.  I threw up a few times at home but the nausea meds made a huge difference.  Get the PCP to talk to the surgeon and I'm sure he'll sign off.
