Greetings from Alaska,
I'm sitting here awaiting a phone call with a surgery date. Everything is in order and I'm so ready for this. Freaking out right now, can't sit still. Ring .. Dang it - Ring... My name is Rhonda and I'm 40 years old, I have a 10 year old son who is my world. It has taken so long to get to this point. When it all comes down to it, I chose life. I'm so ready to live and experiece the inner me making its way out to the outer me. RING PLEASE, its 1:13pm and I'm not patient.
I completely understand!! Waiting for that phone to ring is so difficult. Patience isn't one of my strengths either.
I'm glad you posted. To pass the time, check out the message boards, read other members' posts and post yourself. You could also check out our Health Tracker. That will be helpful to you now that you're on your way to having weight loss surgery. Go to My OH and Health Tracker is one of the items on the drop down menu. Please let us know when that phone rings and you have your date.
Waiting (im)patiently with you!
Best regards, Cathy
This is my 1st post on OH....I am having the gastric sleeve TOMORROW July 1st, 2014.. I am 41 and a mother of 4 ranging in age from 7 -22. I'm suprisingly not nervous about the surgery itself....YET..lol....looking forward to becoming a HEALTHIER me....but a little nervous about post op, I'm afraid of how much I will miss the TASTE of food.
Wow, congratulations to you!
You'll be on a liquid and mushy food phase but after you're far enough post-op, you'll be able to enjoy real food, healthy food.
Thanks for introducing yourself to us less than 24 hours before your surgery. Please let us know how you're doing.
Welcome to the OH community!
Hello all my name is Jay and I am new to this forum.
I am in the process of getting the bariactic procedure sometime this year. I just wanted to see what everyone has to say about this procedure and see what I need to be ready for so if you have info that the doctor people did not or won't tell me I love to hear what you have to say.
