I had an op?????
The nerves that signal the brain that you are full have been cut, so you won't feel full until the nerves have healed. That's why measuring by volume at first is important, so you don't overdo it.
You were operated on. You aren't in a placebo group. One day soon you'll do a little something you aren't supposed to, and it will be painfully clear you had surgery. It's all part of the process.

Yup, agree with that! I did a little something I shouldn't have done today.....just a quick reminder of you did have surgery, watch it!
I ate too fast or the wrong thing. Tuna salad sand. And I got nauseated and finally threw up. I think I'm eating too fast.

Were you eating a sandwich? We're generally advised to avoid bread in the weight loss phase, especially at first since it can expand in your stomach and cause problems (at least according to my surgeon). Skip the bread, just eat the tuna, and maybe cut back on the mayo since too much fat can sometimes cause problems, and go for teeeny bites and hopefully your stomach will be more agreeable :)

Yup! Tuna sandwich. Only ate 3 bites before nausea set in. My surgeon wants to have patients eating solids within 4 weeks and to up calories to 800. Bread is a no no though but had to try it and paid dearly!

What type of surgery did you have, and did your surgeon give you a post-op eating plan? For the sleeve and RNY (not sure about the band), it seems like most people here go from clear liquids > full liquids > purees > mushies > solids with a week or two at each stage, and definitely less than 1/2 cup at each. I had the sleeve and at a week and a half out, I could do less than 1/4 cup of SF jello, and that took me nearly 45 minutes to get down, though everyone is completely different.
It's important to progress slowly with your food after surgery because your nerves have been cut (with VSG/RNY) and you won't feel any sensations of fullness for quite a bit until they heal. Eating too much, too quickly, or the wrong kinds of food can be dangerous as your stomach has a lot of healing to do!

I was the same way. No pain, no discomfort, satiated with small portions etc. Even today, I have no food issues at all. I tolerate everything. I need to be mindful, beacuse my hunger is starting to come back, and I am really trying hard to make lifelong eating choices.
Stay the course, and use this time to re-learn how to eat.
