will my surgery be cancelled for low iron?

i have had low iron in the past, but have improved it.. im wondering with this liquid diet that i am on right now, since my surgery is in 10 days, will it drop my levels??

and will my surgery be cancelled for that reason?

I think it would depend on how low your iron is.  Maybe you should call your surgeon's office and ask if you should start an iron supplement now.  You'll need to start one right after surgery anyway, according to the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.  But it might be good to go ahead and start now.  But I'd check with your surgeon first.

If you have any doubt about your surgery going forward, the person to answer that question will be the surgeon themselves. Call your doctor's office and ask!
