goal weight

My surgeon and I discussed my goal weight, so he owes you that - you need to get time with him to discuss this. I am 5'4 and on the BMI charts, my ideal goal weight is 133. So I would think at 5'2 yours is a little lower. Having said that, my surgeon told me I should aim for 155. I will try to beat this because my personal goal is 140. Not very scientific, but I think what matters is getting yourself to a healthy weight and where you feel comfortable in your own skin.

I googled ideal body weight for calculators and chose 120 for my height of 5'4". But I've always planned on switching from a weight goal to a body fat goal once I get closer. It makes more sense to me.

I'm 5'2-3/4" (but claim 5'3") and have settled at 133-135. I can't even imagine going down to 105 - that's super low, even for the BMI scale. I think when you get to 135 you should re-evaluate how you feel and the size you are wearing.
In fact, a much better indicator would be to get your body fat percentage measured in an underwater dunk tank and through a DEXA scan. The closer you get to "goal", body fat percentage is a much better indicator of overall health than a number on the scale.
