Hi Samantha.  I'm just starting my journey as well. I actually have my first consult tomorrow and I'm nervous. My insurance has a 3 month diet approval thing. So if all goes well and my bmi decides to act right, I'm hoping for an October date!

Hello!  My name is Brooke. My RNY surgery is scheduled for July 14. I have yet to really talk to anyone who has had it done or having it done soon. I am 34 years old with two babies. One will be 2 in August and the other is 7 months. I'm scared to death to have this done because of my babies. I have been overweight my entire life. Thankfully I really don't have any major heath concerns. I have minor reflux and joint problems. My genetics on both sides of my family are not good and I know it's just a matter of time for me. I want to have a healthy, long life for my boys and myself and be a good role model for them. Just looking for support and guidance as well. Thank you and good luck to everyone!
