I avoid them like the plague!!! I'm going on a trip with my dad and so I was looking for some protein bars to toss in my suitcase. I was shocked at how many 'sugar free' bars were filled with up to 15 grams of sugar alcohols! I want to get my protein, not dysentery!!! There are plenty of products out there with Sucralose so I just pass on sugar alcohol products because I know I'll suffer if I eat them.

I am very sensitive to them also. I use stevia instead and it works great for me but beware it is very sweet so use small amounts. It is an herb you can buy it in powder form or liquid or if you like you can buy the plant and use that in something like pasta sauce. If you use the liquid you will only need a few drops in coffee. Good Luck.

I forget the brand, but one protein bar I looked at had 27 grams of sugar alcohols.
