Horse Riders ?

I have heard ticks are very bad this year and I believe this is true, my boyfriend has gotten some already when we were riding a few weeks ago, I have been lucky so far with none. I want it to remain that way. I dealt with bedbugs for years and ticks reminds me of them. I'd lose it if I brought some home with me . Well anyway I like to avoid using chemicals to keep ticks off . Wondering what horse riders are using to keep ticks off? thanks, Wendy

When I rode alot I use to feed my horses garlic granuales.  As for me I would use Avon skin so soft.  That stuff seemed to keep the flies, ticks, and mosquitoes away while riding.
