Who has lost 150 pounds or more and kept it off? I've lost 304.8 pounds from my pre-op weight and lost 393.4 pounds from my highest weight. I've kept it out. My weight did go up and down some, but not buy much. I am maintaining my weight in the low to mid 170's. My highest weight is 565 pounds and my pre-op weight is 476.4. I had the VSG on 06/08/2010. I'm doing great and loving my life right now. I still have a road ahead of my, I have to have my left hip and right hip replaced and the same for my right knee, I had my left knee replaced last year (2013). There has been things that I haven't done in my life in many years that I can do now and things that I haven't yet in my life that I can do now or have done yet that I'll do at some point in my life. By having weight loss surgery is the best thing that I did in my life and proud of doing. Does anyone else feel the same way? Is anyone enjoying life now since you had weight loss surgery and lost all the weight? I'll be 4 years out in about 9 days from today, I can't believe it's been 4 years ago. Where did the time go?

I am yet to have my surgery (it is scheduled for 12 days from today).  But I wanted to say how inspirational your story is.  Good luck with your hip and knee replacements.

I'm 10.5 years out and maintaining at a 170-175 pound loss. I COULD probably weigh less but I know that going to the gym 4 times a week has put on a lot of muscle. I, too, feel that my WLS was that best thing I could have done for myself and that I am damned proud of the work I put in the the long-term success that I've had.

Banded 10 years & maintaining my weight loss!! Any questions, message me.

Awesome! Going to the gym can do that by adding muscle by going to the gym a few days a week. Same here with me about weight loss surgery. I like what I see in my future. Awesome job you have done on your journey.

First a HUGE congratulations on your success! Simply awesome.

I'm just over 8 years post-op and have lost 170 pounds and kept it off. Started at 290, now weigh 120 (with a 1 or 2 pound flux at any given time).

Happy 4 years!

I will be 7 years post-op in August and have maintained a 190 pound loss (with a temporary gain of 8 pounds -- I am working on getting that back off -- following knee replacement surgery in November).

Yes, having WLS was the best decision I have ever made, especially now that I have had my knees replaced.

Congratulations for your upcoming 7 years post-op and maintained a 190 pounds loss, I know that you'll get that 8 pounds off. I had my left knee down 1 year ago last month, I can't wait to get both hips done and my right knee done. I hope you're doing good from your knee replacement.

Same here with me, great to hear that you're doing great now with your new knees.
