After waiting almost 19 months since day 1 of this journey...I finally have a date!!!!

7/17/14 is MY day.

Roux-en-Y shall be the surgery of my GERD's choice as well as mine!

* 1/3/13 to 8/9/13 (my "six" month Bariatric Program)
* 9/13/2013 met with a bariatric surgeon for the first time
*call from scheduler for surgery date for VSG 3/19/14
* 3/3/14 met with my ACTUAL surgeon for the first time
* 3/4/14 started pre op liquid diet!
* 3/10/14 final test...the Endoscopy: results found I had an esophageal ulcer. Surgery postponed 😩 Protonix treatment underway 40 mgs a day, twice a day..

9 weeks roll by...

*5/19/14 Ensocopy (repeat) found NO TRACE of an ulcer, biopsy came back negative for Barrett's Esophagus or cancerous cells...did find I have an inflamed gastro esophageal junction...caused by GERD...And my hiatal hernia has grown...
* New referral entered TODAY and approved TODAY!!!

after much research and help from some of you all, GB is the surgery for me. Since my GERD is so bad. Best option between me and my surgeon.

RNY 7/17/2014!! Decided to stop kidding myself about what I'm really doing with my life. Excited for getting back to me!!
