Miserable. If I gain the weight back, will this skin go away?
The skin won't go away but it will be filled out with fat, so it won't be so saggy.

What LadyTazz said. I don't think the core issue is how your body looks (although I do understand that it is a big factor).
From what I have seen, people *****gain generally don't regain enough to fill out the skin the way it was before (or they gain the weight in different places than before) so they end up overweight and still have some saggy skin.
I am so sorry you are so unhappy. Give yourself a birthday present of an appointment with a therapist who can help you find a way out of the sad, depressed place you are stuck in.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Back in the early 1980's I was in college for computer technology. People would ask me why I was studying that when there were not a lot of computer jobs available around my town.
I always replied that I did not need a lot of jobs, just one. When I graduated from college, I found that one job and kept it until I retired in 2010.
It is the same with finding a significant other. You don't need a lot of them, just one.
I went through a lot of research and interviews before I found the job that I loved and when death took my husband I did a lot of research and interviews before I found a new person that I am happy with.
Just start dating again and with online dating it is super easy to find lots of dates. Many more men will be interested in meeting you thin than fat. The good men will look past the skin issues and into your heart.
The ex just demonstrated one more reason why he is an ex.
There are plenty of men out there who are waiting for the chance to be with someone who can share their hopes and dreams.
Have fun letting them find you.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
You are SO right!!
To the OP: Listen to White Dove. She's right about online dating. I would have never believed it in a MILLION years if I weren't currently experiencing it. I have never found dating easy or comfortable because of my weight. Now that I'm almost to goal, my self confidence is so much higher (loose skin be damned!) and I jumped into eHarmony. It took several months of sitting around and waiting and a few false starts, but now I am talking to an amazing man who already makes me feel special, even after only 3 weeks. I don't know where it will go, but my gut says to stick around and find out!
Give yourself a shot at finding a wonderful guy who cares about you instead of staying hung up on someone who can't (or won't) give you what you need, online or not. Everyone deserves to be with someone who accepts them at their best AND worst. Loose skin and all.

I am also a single mom of two and I know it is tough. Looking at your old posts, you have been through a lot. Losing weight does not fix everything just like gaining it back won't either. I hope you get some professional help. You have a lot of good living left to do.
