What tunes make you move?

Motivational Music! Not only can music motivate you, but the right tempo can help increase workout efforts or help you set and keep your pace. 

If I don't have a workout buddy with me, I absolutely need new music to get moving to! I usually go to the gym with a friend so we talk while working out, however, last week she was running late so I popped in my earbuds to listen to music on my iPhone. To my surprise my workout playlist was nowhere to be found. So my workout music ended up being the Les Miserable soundtrack. Not ideal workout songs, although the cast rendition of One Day More is quite moving. 

So now I'm creating a fresh new playlist for the gym! Do you workout with music? If so, what songs are on your exercise playlist? 

I'll share my standby favorites. I tend to mix them up to make a few different 20 and 30 min playlists.

I recently got sick and tired of my exercise playlist only having 40 songs, so I got lots of ideas from all over the place and now my playlist is significantly more robust!  I use it and Zombies Run! to get me going.

I like my app called I Heart Radio and listen to the Evolution All Things Dance station.  I love it.  I listen to it when cleaning the house too.

Did iHeart change...when I used to listen to it at work anytime I would get a text or FB alert it would stop the app? Also around here phone service is crap and the gym doesn't have wifi so I need the music saved on phone.

My gym also has no wifi or cell service.  Sigh.

Heh, thankfully I had most of the songs so I only had to spend about $40 to round out the playlist.  It was VERY worth it.  I'm so much happier with 200ish songs in rotation than 40!
