First NSV (that means enough to report)
Let me say, I am three week out from RNY so I know there will be ga-zillionz of NSVs over time but this one I feel compelled to write about.
The Dude works Thurs-Mon swing shift for Oregon Lottery, I work a more traditional 7-4 Mon-Fri schedule. Tuesdays are now our date night. We had a nice early evening out together, and when we got home he wrapped his arms around me as we danced to some blues in the kitchen. Held me. After a few moments I felt dampness on his cheek pressed into my hair.
I pulled back looked at him as a another tear slid down his kind sweet face. I was alarmed, I asked him "what's wrong" He said, "Mary, it's what's right! I can wrap my arms around you and I still have room" He could not remember the last time he was able to do that and he was filled with joy for me and for him and for our future.
Thanks for letting me share this moment with you, I know many will understand.
Have the best day
Mary
That is one of the sweetest NSVs ever! Good for your Dude for letting you know how happy he was, and good for you on your progress so far. You're doing great!
