Quest Apple Turnover

Yesterday I received a package of Quest Bars and there was a recipe book included.  People are taking Quest Bars and using them to create all kinds of high protein, low net carb treats.  On their site recipes are under BLOGS and many of them have videos with instructions.

I looked on their site for more recipes and came across this one for an Apple Turnover. 

 

What you will need:

 

  • 1 Apple Pie Quest Bar
  • 2 tsp diced tart apple (I used honey crisp)
  • 1 tbsp sugar free apple sauce
  • 1 dash cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil

 

 

 

What you need to do:

 

1⃣ Place the coconut oil, diced apple, and cinnamon in a pan and sautée over medium heat for 3-5 mins, stirring often.

 

2⃣ Move the contents in the pan into a small bowl and mix with apple sauce.

 

3⃣ Microwave the Quest Bar for 10 second until softened and then roll it out in a square shape on a greased cookie sheet.

 

4⃣ Place the apple mixture onto one diagonal half of the square, then fold it over on top of itself, should be a triangle sandwich

 

5⃣ Place into the oven at 350F for 5 mins and then broil on low for 1 minute.

 

6⃣ Take it out and let it cool. Sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy it with a little dollop of Greek yogurt.

 

Nutritionals: 211 calories, 20g protein, 9g active carbs, (20g fiber, 4g sugar), 6g fat
