yes I believe 2 lbs of that was water weight...but gives me motivation..I am not an attention getter'r just wondering if that 5 DPT is really a good idea, if you don't eat for a few days , only liquids in my opinion is not a good idea

lots of negative responces here,, I am amazed .. what happened to the support on O H
Seriously? Do you honestly believe there was anything supportive in your original post? All you were doing was belittling everyone who struggled to lose a little regain.
Sheesh.

I think people are taking what you say personally, and pointing the finger at you because they don't agree with what you are saying. You are pushing a hot button.
Also, perhaps your delivery of your message might go over easier if you just stick to your personal experience, rather than addressing or questioning other people and what they do or don't do.
I think what you are speaking to is the issue of personal responsibility, which I think is pretty essential with this weight loss journey. We do have to learn to manage ourselves with daily no vacations no divorce no excuses diet and exercise like it or not, and that's not so easy to do and not something we like to hear about. I know I have struggled with that for most of my life.
But shaming and blaming and fault finding sure doesn't work- I have had enough of that crap to last me 8 lifetimes.
I like the 12 step program reminder- when you have a finger pointed at someone else, realize where three fingers are pointed and one upwards if you choose to use a Higher Power.

Read your post again and consider how it came across to others. I've provided a convenient translation below:
Look at me, I'm AMAZING! I have the MIRACLE CURE! Why don't you MORONS just do what I do? Why the EFF are you working hard and trying anything else when you could be like my AWESOME SELF? Doing anything other than what I do is DUMB! Get over yourselves and MOVE YOUR LAZY BUTTS!
Gee, wonder why people are offended and not terribly supportive??

It takes me more than a month of cutting to 800 calories a day to lose five pounds. Since surgery, weight loss is harder than ever. I have to fight for every ounce. Your post makes it sound easy. It might be easy for you, but hard for others. I already walk or swim for more than an hour a day and don't eat after 8:00 PM. Maybe if I was sitting on the couch eating snacks all evening, your method would work for me, but if I were doing that I would need to lose a lot more than five pounds.
Everybody's "mean" to you because you basically insulted the entire message board.
The statement "all I changed was more walking and stopped eating after 8pm.. so why are people that have regained going through a 5 day pouch diet to get the weight back off?!" is insulting to people, including myself, who've struggled for years to lose weight, and by struggle I mean above and beyond "more walking and stop eating after 8pm" and haven't managed to lose all the excess weight without surgery.
You're talking to people who have starved, worked out, taken questionable medications, permanently damaged their bodies in many cases, trying to lose weight the "old fashioned way".
Honestly, you sound like every single condescending asswipe of a skinny ***** who's ever told me all I need to do is stop eating so much junk food, or don't eat after 5 pm or whatever, and my weight problem will somehow maaaaagically float away. Yeah. If that worked, I'd weigh 90 pounds by now.
You had WLS just like the rest of us... so why did you even have RNY, if losing weight is so flippin' easy? Huh?
It's very hard being supportive to someone so toxic.
