My daughter died
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and all the rest of Victoria's family. I am so sorry for your loss.
I'm sorry to read about your daughter's passing and I hope they find out the exact cause. Blood in her stomach Is definitely a concern and not normal.
Complications happen and although the statistics are low there is NO guarantee anyone won't have one or even more.
I think some people go into surgery not knowing the possibilities, thinking it won't happen to me, or the last group are so tired and sick due to the obesity they are willing to take those risk. We all know the risk of morbid obesity, not an active, feel-good kinda life.
My sympathizes to you and your family.

I don't think (most) weight loss surgery offices give patients enough information on what can go wrong, and how it can change your life for the worse (if) something goes wrong. I went to two different hospitals and surgeons and listened to their sales pitches, and it kind of feels like you're being sold a new or used car, that these procedures will solve all of your problems and you'll be up and running right away with your brand new life. I realize weight loss surgeons are under pressure from the hospital to sell more surgeries, because these procedures make a TON of money for the hospital since they're elective procedures, but that makes me sad for the patients going through it, because they're not being fully informed.
