Navel piercing over scar tissue, any experiences?

I have a very prominent laproscopic scar on my navel and was wondering if that could be pierced? I have had my navel re-attached after a tummy tuck years ago, so there is some very subtle scar tissue around that, but this lap scar is not fading and very unsightly. I'm thinking either a piercing or tattoo might be an answer for me to cover some of that "black hole" in the middle of my stomach. Thanks, Lori

I pierced right through the scar.. Pic is on my profile about halfway down.. It healed fine.. I will add another pic at some point with the new jewelry I have in it.. But I like that it takes the focus off the scar (although no one but me probably noticed it!)

I had never even thought about piercing, but if I'm half as successful as you..hmmmm. BTW you look great.

I think I was about 8 months out when I got it done.. You have a good night as well.

I had open Rny in October.... I have thought that after I lose all my weight.. I would get mine pierced and then just get a zipper pull for the jewelry part.... Kari

I want to re-pierce my naval soon (my first one was done badly and I had to let it close)...and I plan to have butterflies tattooed around a couple of the scars...but not til after I have my plastic surgery...so it will be awhile as I am only 4 months out. Have fun! Susan

i can't wait to get my naval pierced but i have to wait since i am 2 weeks post op from my tummy tuck and innner thigh lift.....oh do anyone know how i have to wait after tummy tuck to get piercing?
