Pre op diet chuging nasty shakes
I use a protein powder recommended by my fitness group, called Prograde. It does not have that protein shake smell or weird thick consistency, it really tastes just like chocolate milk. I mix it with almond milk in a blender bottle. It is kind of pricey, but I cannot stand any other kind. If you sign up for autoship, you don't pay shipping, and you can always push the date back so you don't need to get one every month if you don't want to.

I highly recommend Unjury Chocolate Splendor, Unjury Chicken Soup, Chike High Protein Coffee (maybe best to leave that one for postop, as it does claim to contain the equivalent of two shots of espresso). I've also enjoyed Syntrax Nectar Cappuccino and Syntrax Nectar Chocolate Truffle. The Unjury products are still my go-to for protein drinks.
I liked Syntrax Matrix Mint Cookie for a while, but before long that got old, so I won't be buying it again. Syntrax Matrix Peanut Butter Cookie is also good, but it's higher in calories and carbs than the Unjury with only a bit more protein to show for it.
I'm about to try the Unjury Vanilla. :)
Hope this helps! Preop diet is a challenge, but it's important, and it's good practice for postop life. Hang in there!
